DEVKUND
Heavy rainfall in the Sahiyadri's leave some magnificent scenes and countless waterfalls. 'Devkund' is one such breathtaking destination. Devkund is said to be the source of river 'Kundalika' that stretches from Bhira to Alibaug, where it meets the Arabian Sea. It is a 2hr hike from Bhira.

Nature Trails
There are several nature trails and scenic spots in and around Raigad..
-
Raigad Fort: While primarily a historical site, the trek to Raigad Fort offers stunning views of the Sahyadri mountain range and surrounding landscapes.
-
Tamhini Ghat: This scenic ghat (mountain pass) is a popular route connecting Pune and Raigad. It is adorned with lush greenery, waterfalls (during the monsoon), and picturesque viewpoints.

Star-gazing
Gazing stars on a dark night in woods after a juicy barbeque is what I call 'PEACE'. Away from the city lights, you have a perfect setup where you can not only gaze stars but also see planets with a telescope. Photography enthusiasts can click some amazing long exposures.

Bird Watching
While Tamhini Ghat is primarily a mountain pass known for its scenic beauty, it also attracts several bird species. During the monsoon and post-monsoon period, the region becomes rich in birdlife, and you may spot species like Malabar whistling thrush, Indian pitta, and various species of colorful butterflies.
